is a Georgia corporation located in Marietta Georgia, organized for the purpose of breeding and showing Conformation Champions and quality labrador conformation prospects.
Upland Labradors is owned and operated by Dale and Barry Staples. We have raised a variety of dogs over the past 30 years.We started with German Sheperds in the early 1970's and since then we have had Golden Retrievers,Miniature Schnauzers, Jack Russell Terriers, and finally Labrador Retrievers.After our first lab passed on in the late 90's,we decided to have another and Dale started looking for a breeder/handler she could work with to bcome involved in showing Labs. After several years of apprenticeship in handling, grooming and breeding, with a near by breeder and handler we all agreed it was time to breed and show our own quality Lab stock.
We believe that our show dogs are members of our family. Each dog gets our individual attention and affection, and because of this, we only keep a small number of quality Labs.
We breed primarily to show. We carefully plan a very limited number of litters in order to properly train and individually raise quality show prospects. We study pedigree,structure and temperment to find the best matches possible for breeding to our stock. Every labrador has its own unique personality and physical attributes to develop and we treat them like the true friends they are to bring out the best in each one.We are particular about the food, exercise, veterinary care, playtime, training and socialization they receive.
Each one of our labradors gets individual attention on a daily basis. Each one spends time in the house with us and they all get plenty of exercise. We take them regularly to new and different places for socialization.
